Data Deletion
How to Delete Your Data
The fastest way is in the app: on the capture screen, open account in the bottom-left corner, then choose delete account. The confirmation screen lists exactly what will be removed; one more tap completes it. In-app deletion is immediate and permanent, with no recovery window.
You can also email support@workingmemory.ai from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We will confirm and deactivate within one business day.
Legacy WhatsApp users can also send the text message "delete my data" to the Working Memory WhatsApp number for immediate deactivation.
What Happens Next
Deleting in the app takes effect immediately:
- Any active subscription is cancelled first, so no further charges are made
- All of your data (recordings, transcriptions, structured items, embeddings, push credentials) is permanently erased right away
- You are signed out and the account cannot be reopened; there is no recovery window
Deleting by email or WhatsApp deactivates the account first and erases it on a schedule:
- Your account is deactivated: no further messages or uploads will be processed
- Your subscription is cancelled and no further charges are made
- All of your data (recordings, transcriptions, structured items, embeddings, push credentials) is permanently deleted within 90 days
- If you change your mind during the 90-day period, contact us to reactivate and recover your data
Data Export
You can download a complete copy of your data at any time from the app: open Integrations → Your data → Export your data to receive a structured JSON file immediately. Alternatively, email support@workingmemory.ai and we will provide a structured export within 30 days.
